Sounds great easy to install and works with any MP3 device. It took 5 minutes to install, then went to Radio Shack and bought a RCA to mini cable. That is all it took to make it work. Sound is great!

When I first bought my new 2000 GMC Yukon XL, I installed an RF modulator between my antenna and my car stereo head end unit so that I would have and auxiliary input. I set one of the FM presets to the RF modulator channel and I could hear the auxiliary input through the car stereo.

The RF modulator broke and so I went searching for replacements. This is the perfect solution. The stock stereo head end unit requires an auxiliary input with a microprocessor attached in order to process the auxiliary audio. This box includes the necessary microprocessor. You simply plug the 9-Pin connector into the back of the stereo head end unit and then plug your audio into the RCA inputs. This unit comes with a Y-cable, so if you have the optional GMC (Delco) tape deck, then it should still work. I don't, so I couldn't test it.

The box simulates a CD input. You press the CD/AUX button on your stereo head end unit to toggle between the built in CD and this box. When the AUX is selected, the stereo head end unit believes that it has an external CD attached and the display says "CD Track 1" and a timer starts counting.

The sound is much better than the RF modulator! Plus, my FM radio stations work better because the RF modulator wasn't a pure pass through and there was loss to the FM signal. I also get back one of my FM preset stations!

On my vehicle, the installation required no tools what-so-ever. The dash panel popped off by pulling on it, and the stereo head unit slides out on a track when you press two tabs on either side. I used adhesive velcro to attach the box behind the radio on the surface inside the dash. I also used foam padding to ensure that the wires wouldn't rattle.

I am very, very pleased.
